With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Utah, Lexi’s goal has always been to help individuals create joyful lives through increased self-awareness and optimal wellness. Lexi obtained her RYT 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Certification in 2007 and her E-RYT 500 Hour Yoga Alliance Certification in 2012. She has over 10,000 hours of teaching & training in vedic meditation, mindfulness, western and eastern anatomy, physiology, asana, pranayama, ayurveda, non-violent communication, and is a Chopra Coach.

She is the founder and previous owner of Longwave Yoga, in Wilmington, NC, which she operated for 8 years. Lexi has developed original workshops, trainings, mentorship programs, and has certified other yoga teachers at the 200-hour, 300-hour and 500-hour levels throughout the U.S. and abroad. Her goal as a yoga teacher is to help people develop mindfulness within the movement of the body and the thought processes of the mind, ultimately resulting in a deep integration of one's experience. Lexi's classes are dynamic, intentional, inclusive, and appropriate for all levels of yogis as individual attention is emphasised and modifications are offered.

Lexi holds immense gratitude for all her teachers and life mentors. She emphasizes that what is learned and experienced through various ancient and modern wellness practices may be applied to everyday life and leadership. Lexi believes that it is possible to create lives, communities, and cultures rooted in wellbeing born of awareness, compassion, and generosity.

“Yoga is a gift to be celebrated and shared! Every moment, on and off the mat, is another opportunity to cultivate clarity and connection.”
